"land of a thousand sunsets" - Kalahari desert experience
All over Africa space for intact eco-systems and humans to exist in harmony is becoming rare. These spaces have become islands in an ocean of human encroachment.
Southern Africa is still blessed with a variety of exceptional regions, which truely makes provision for the preference of each individual. One of these outstanding regions is the Kalahari "land of the Kgalagadi" - land of little water and much sand. Place of silence, extremes and immeasurable vistas.
Animals, plant and humans are part of the greater whole and give shape to the unique atmosphere of the Kalahari, each knowing its environment, because the Kalahari has no mercy for those that cannot adapt.
Beyond the effects of the thirst-quenching waters, the land reverts to thorn-tree savannahs, red dunes, black mountains and vast red sands, all under a cloudless canopy of the deepest blue skies. These same shimmering sands and sky by day mark the onset of cool nights with the breathtaking sunsets and finally, with the last of the afterglow gone, the stars of Scorpio and the Southern Cross appear. So clear and bright, so close you'll reach out to touch them.
With our passion for the Kalahari, its unique vastness and fauna and flora, we offer a product and service that is one of a kind. We pride ourselves in the fact that we can share this passion with the friends we take into this land of tranquility and peace, something that's hard to match in today's world. Kanabo is not just a tour, it's an experience. Come with us and embrace the Kalahari!
We have experienced just that, for the last 15 years. We have adapted and explored to bring friends the Kalahari "land of the Kgalagadi".

"Valley of the Elephants" - Limpopo Province South Africa
This tourism region of the Limpopo Province is at its heart and the Valley of the Olifants is the name given to the eastern lowveld and the escarpment region. This breathtaking region is from Tzaneen to Bushbuckridge. As the name suggests this region falls in the valley of the Olifants River which cuts through the Kruger National Park forming the province southern border. The valley forms part of the northern most section of the majestic Drakensberg mountain range.
The Valley of the Olifants is one of the unspoilt gems of Africa - vast, unhurried, and timeless. This region that meanders trough the Kruger National Park, is unmistakeably Africa. Bordering the park is a number of privately owned concession areas that have removed their fences to form of the greater Kruger Park. An opportunity to showcase Africa's splendour of wildlife and thus catering for a wide sector of the market, from rustic and close to nature, to super luxury, intended to pamper and restore the soul.
The Valley of the Olifants is not only rich in wildlife, but offers spectacular scenery, a rich history and many cultural and ethnic attractions.
